Hi, I’m Alwyn Soh.

I’m a husband to my amazing wife, who has been my biggest supporter through all of life’s adventures, and a proud dad to two wonderful kids who constantly remind me of the importance of curiosity and joy.
Living in Singapore 🇸🇬, we’re a close-knit family that enjoys exploring the outdoors, discovering new places, and making the most of our time together.

By day, I’m a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer at Dayforce, where I thrive on solving complex security challenges in today’s digital world. I’m deeply passionate about technology, security, and self-hosting, and I enjoy experimenting with new ways to stay secure in a connected world.

Outside of work, I’m committed to staying active. Obstacle Course Racing (like Spartan Race) and road cycling around the island keep me fit and provide a mental reset. Stranded (happily) in the  ecosystem, I believe in the balance of health, technology, and most importantly—good food.

Sohwatt LLP
Offering IT services including domain, web, and email hosting, along with cloud backup and uptime monitoring. Also providing support for both macOS and Windows systems.
Mastodon.SG
Mastodon is a decentralized, community-driven social network that enables users to share content in a secure, open environment. It focuses on privacy, freedom of expression, and allowing users to control their data.
SOHWATT [SG] Game Server
Insurgency game server, for others to join and play, while I explore the process of running a server with custom plugins. It’s an opportunity to create a unique gameplay experience by tweaking game mechanics, adding features, and testing server management skills.

A Mastodon instance for administrators, offering monitoring tools as an alternative solution for managing Mastodon servers. It does not backup data but provides insights and support for server health and performance.
Pixelfed.SG
Pixelfed is a privacy-focused, ad-free, open-source photo-sharing platform that is decentralized. It allows users to share images without compromising their data, offering a more secure and community-driven alternative to traditional social media platforms.
iCr8zy Repo
A Singapore-based repository that hosts one of the largest collections of packages for Cydia, a platform for jailbroken iOS devices. Offering a wide range of tweaks and apps for customization and functionality.
Insanelyi App
Created for the Insanelyi community forum, providing members with a dedicated iOS app to engage with the forum’s discussions, tweaks, and themes more conveniently. It enhances user experience by offering easier access to community resources on jailbroken devices.
